Adult Programs

"Library at 7" meets four times a year with a variety of programs to interest adults. Watch for signs in the library or news releases of upcoming events. Participation is free. These events are sponsored by the Friends of Shawano County Libraries, Inc.

Between the Covers will be offered as the 2012 adult summer reading program.  Complete the reading bookmark to be entered in for prizes.  Drawings on August 13.

Childrens Room

Staff provide different Story Times and activities for children. Check the online calendar for current times or contact the Children's Room at 715-526-3829 ext. 125 to make special arrangements for a storytime for your group visiting the library.

Email Contact

Have overdue notices and hold information sent by e-mail. Contact your local library with your account information and e-mail address for this service.

Faxing/Copying

Incoming Fax is $1.00 per page
Outgoing Fax Local and Long Distance is $1.00 per page
Outgoing Fax to a Toll-Free Number is $1.00 total

Black and white photocopies are $.25 per side and available in the Check Out Department. 

Library Cards


Residents of the state of Wisconsin may register for a card by filling out a registration form and presenting identification and proof of address at your local library. Identification may be a driver's license or identification card issued by any state in the U.S., a passport, school ID, or any official picture ID. Proof of address may be:

  •  Same driver's liciense or identification card as above
  • "Official" piece of mail (power/electric bill, cable bill, ect.) (Handwritten mail is not acceptable.)
  • Address on a bank statement 
  • Checkbook checks with address printed on them 
  • Payroll check with address printed on it
  • Rental agreement with complete address plainly entered

Children and young adults: Identification and proof of address or the parent or guardian signing the responsibility statement on the registration form are required to register anyone under the age of 18.  

Meeting Rooms

Meeting rooms are available for non-profit groups (not including religous or political) at no cost. Profit groups are charged $20.00 for three hours or $40.00 for four hours or longer. Schedule meetings in the Veslak and Engel Rooms by contacting the main desk at 715-526-3829 ext. 120.

Microfilm

Microfilm is available for viewing during working hours for the following newspapers. Requests can be made through Interlibrary Loan for microfilm from the State Historical Society.

Tax Forms

The library has access to some of the printable forms and will print as requested. Printing charges will apply. The following sites provide tax forms for printing off the Internet.
